Eternal Darkness is an exciting, interesting, different game that deserves, no, demands playing.
I am a big fan of horror-themed games that are well crafted. I am also a fan of interesting and well-told stories. This game is delivering on both of these fronts right off the bat. The story starts out at "creepy" and quickly heads toward "disturbing". The action does the same, ultimately arriving, much to my enjoyment, at "frightening".
The fact that the game actually messes with the player is both intriguing and disturbing. This feature alone warrants playing this game and makes for a significant number of "WTF?!" episodes, leaving you perplexed and shaking your head. Excellent!
As a side note, I am playing and writing about Game Cube games because I only just started playing them. I did not have a Game Cube, but I do have a Nintendo Wii, so now I am taking the opportunity to play a number of the best games from the Cube.
