As an essentially first-generation title on the Wii, Call of Duty 3 provides an interesting, though frustrating, control scheme for a fast-paced action FPS.
The controls are somewhat sluggish and some of the weapons are difficult to control or aim (mounted 42's). Also, some of the other Wiimote interactions do not seem to work well, like pulling a pin from exlosives you have set.
The storyline is pretty confusing, as it casts you in multiple roles in different situations with no warning. That said, the stories being told are individually interesting, just that stringing them together did not work out too well.
After beating the game, you gain a much greater appreciation, both for the game that you have just played, and the events that were being portrayed, by watching the interviews and then revisiting the game cinematics. They tend to make more sense at that point and seem to all come together after this second pass.
With no branching out or exploration, I did not find any reason to replay the game after beating it, but overall it was a worthwhile rental.
