Failure to wrap up the Vietnam story, even though they wrapped up the personal story of Shepard, cost this game a point.
I did not really like the last segment of the game either. They give you a lengthy section with no checkpoints and very little health packs, a deadly combination. In the end, once you complete it, you hear Shepard's perspective on the thing, the view of the soldier. What you do not get is a closing segment of the historical account, which is sorely missed.
The game features no other replay value that I can see and no special features on the disk, so after beating it I was left with nothing but the eject button and so I put this one to bed.
I am officially putting my stamp on this game, though, as one of the truly important games in my life, because it taught me about something that I did not know before and inspired me to question what I hear about the Vietnam era in general.
