I played FF XIII a couple of years ago (blog still to come!). After all this time, XIII-2 still expects me to remember the combat and game mechanics?
This game is starting out very slow. The future (or past?) has changed and only Serah remembers what is "real". She meets up with a new character named Noel and together they set off to find Lightning. The premise is interesting and all the story possibilities with shifting and changing timelines in very intriguing. Unfortunately, we first have to go through a lot of chit-chat and character development.
After being gone from the game for a week or so, when I loaded up my save game, I was treated to a quick recap of events in the game I have already experienced called "The story so far". Very nice touch! Thank you, developers :)
